MATH

Mathematics encompasses the study of concepts like quantity (numerical theory), structure (algebra), space (geometry), and change (analysis). There isn’t a common definition for it. Mathematicians seek and use patterns to generate new hypotheses, which they then mathematically prove to be true or false.

When mathematical frameworks are good representations of real-world phenomena, mathematical reasoning can be utilized to generate insights or predictions about nature. From counting, calculating, measuring, and the methodical study of the forms and motions of physical objects, mathematics emerged through the application of abstraction and logic.

Since there have been written records, humans have engaged in practical mathematics. It may take years or even centuries to conduct the extensive investigation necessary to find solutions to mathematical puzzles. Natural science, engineering, health, finance, and the social sciences are just a few of the disciplines that depend on mathematics.

Various mathematical fields like statistics and game theory have been created as a result of applied mathematics. Although pure mathematics (mathematics for its own sake) is practiced by mathematicians without any consideration for applications, these applications are frequently found subsequently.
